Private bankers oversee current and deposit accounts and work with our specialist teams to arrange borrowing, foreign exchange services and support with philanthropy. For requirements beyond the bank’s remit, they can connect you with trusted professionals such as accountants, solicitors, and financial advisers.

Our private bankers are available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Our mobile app gives you freedom to manage personal and business accounts on the go. It gives you 24/7 access to current, deposit, loan, and card accounts in your name or to accounts where you have authority to view or transact. You can:

•    Make payments to third parties
•    Transfer money between your accounts
•    Generate security codes for online banking (instead of using the C. Hoare & Co. token)
•    Authenticate card payments
•    View your paperless statements and documents
•    Freeze/unfreeze credit cards and debit cards
•    View card PINs
•    Report cards lost or stolen

The bank fully supports Apple Pay and Google Pay on supported devices.

Online banking can be tailored for individuals, businesses and trusts and provides a comprehensive range of payment services, including international payments and currency conversion.  You can:

•    Manage regular payments
•    Send bulk payments to multiple beneficiaries
•    Arrange future-dated payments
•    Transfer money between your accounts    

•    Manage paperless settings and payment notifications
•    Adjust spending limits and approval structures
•    Download transactions to accountancy packages
•    Connect to other services via Open Banking

Our Banking Team supports private bankers by dealing with routine queries and requests. Offering many of the services available via online banking and the mobile app, they are on hand to help customers who prefer to deal directly with bank staff.

The Banking Team can help with day-to-day account maintenance, managing online banking limits, and fraud prevention. They also offer guidance on digital banking.

Branch banking

Cashiers at Fleet Street and Lowndes Street can help with cash transactions in sterling and other currencies, as well as safekeeping services. They are also available to support day-to-day enquiries.

Our branches are open from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
