C. Hoare & Co. is the UK’s oldest privately owned bank. Founded in 1672, it has remained in the ownership of the Hoare family for 12 generations.

We are based in Fleet Street, with a branch in Lowndes Street, and have a strong presence across the UK, with relationship managers based in East Anglia, and the South West, North West and North East of England. Most of our customers come to us on recommendation and, as a pure banking service, we are able to work alongside and recommend professional advisers.

Eligibility
We seek to build close, lasting relationships underpinned by Hoare family values of honesty, empathy, excellence and social responsibility. We enjoy working with individuals and families who share our values, and are pleased to work with their businesses too.
Typically, our customers are based in, or have strong ties to, the UK, with wealth of £10 million or more. We generally expect new customers to deposit or borrow at least £1 million.
