Shaun Phillips
Shaun joined the bank in 2020 and has over 40 years’ banking experience, most recently as managing director of Barclays Overseas Services where he looked after international customers across a number of jurisdictions. Previously, he undertook a broad range of roles in the Natwest/RBS Group.
James Allen
James started his banking career in 1990 at Coutts, where he managed the affairs of private clients and businesses. He joined C. Hoare & Co. in 1997.
He was previously head of our Lowndes Street branch and a senior relationship manager. For 25 years, he looked after wealthy families and their family offices, as well as family businesses, entrepreneurs, landed estates, and customers with large property portfolios.
In 2021 , James moved into a business development role and now splits his time between London and his home in Yorkshire, supporting our growing presence in the north of England.

Simon Collins
Simon began his career in the City in 1988 and spent some years at NatWest before joining C. Hoare & Co. in 1993. Since then, he has built close relationships with a wide range of individuals, families, and their associated businesses and trusts.
With oversight of the bank’s Farms & Estates business since 2010, Simon has a particular focus on the owners of landed estates. In recent years, he has concentrated more on business development, travelling across the UK to meet prospective customers and professional advisers.
Charles Hoare Nairne
Charles graduated from Cambridge before beginning his career at BZW Asia Pacific Equities. In 1993, he moved to Kleinwort Benson Private Bank where he was a fund manager with an emphasis on high-net-worth private customers. He later joined Rathbone Bros in 2000, where he was an investment director and member of the investment committee, again with a focus on high-net-worth clients.
Charles joined C. Hoare & Co. in 2006 to provide oversight of the bank’s investment management activities, along with various other aspects of the family business. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute.

Laura Parker
Laura joined C. Hoare & Co. in 2023 to lead the mortgage intermediaries business, specialising in lending and proposition enhancement.
Previously, Laura worked at Coutts for 9 years, where she was Associate Director of Business Development, and at Investec, where she led on key accounts to grow the UK private banking business.
