Debit, Credit, Business and Currency Cards

Our environmentally friendly cards are produced from a plant-based alternative to plastic, and our range of card services is designed to meet the needs of our customers, their families and their businesses. All C. Hoare & Co. card services offer:

• 24/7 assistance.
• Worldwide acceptance – Your card(s) can be used to withdraw cash and purchase goods and services from any retailer displaying the Visa logo.
• Contactless payments – All our cards are contactless-enabled.
• Additional cards – These can be issued, with tailored limits, to family members and/or employees.
• Fast, free replacement cards – If your card is lost or stolen, the bank will issue a free replacement within 48 hours.
• Visa Secure-enabled payments – This provides additional security for online payments.
   

Personal Debit Cards

Personal debit cards are available to C. Hoare & Co. personal customers. In addition to the features set out above, they offer:

• Instant access to your money, with cash withdrawals worldwide from any Automated Teller Machine (ATM) machine displaying the Visa logo.
• Cashback – As an alternative to Automated Teller Machine (ATM) withdrawals, you can access £250 via cashback with participating merchants.

Credit Cards

Credit cards with high monthly limits tailored to individual requirements are available to C. Hoare & Co. personal customers over the age of 18. (Please note that your credit limit will depend on your circumstances.) Our credit cards offer the following benefits:

• There is no annual fee for using your credit card.
• Tailored and flexible credit limits – Bespoke limits, which can be adjusted promptly at your request, are available for each cardholder on the account (credit limits depend on personal circumstances and are subject to review and change).
• Online account management – Full lists of cardholders and access to their balances, limits, and transaction details are available via online banking and our mobile app.
• Peace of mind – Certain goods and services paid for with your credit card, with a value between £100 and £30,000, may be eligible for refunds under Section 75 of the Credit Consumer Act 1974. This provides reassurance when you are making purchases such as flights or hotel bookings.

Business Cards

Business cards with high monthly limits are available to employees of C. Hoare & Co. business customers. In addition to the services set out above, our business cards offer the following benefits:

• Tailored and flexible credit limits – Bespoke limits, which can be adjusted promptly at your request, are available for each cardholder on the account (credit limits depend on personal circumstances and are subject to review and change).
• Amalgamated monthly statements – To make accounting easier, we send one statement to the primary contact, detailing separate transaction listings for each cardholder. 
• Online account management – Full lists of cardholders and access to their balances, limits and transaction details are available via our online banking service.

Currency Cards

Currency cards linked to a euro or US dollar-denominated currency account are available to C. Hoare & Co. personal customers over the age of 18. In addition to the services set out above, they offer:

• 0% transaction fees - When using your card in the designated currency, you will not incur any additional charges.

Business Currency Cards

Business currency cards linked to a euro or US dollar-denominated currency account are available to C. Hoare & Co. business customers over the age of 18. In addition to the services set out above, they offer:

• 0% transaction fees – When using your card in the designated currency, you will not incur any additional charges.
