The Golden Bottle Trust was set up in 1985 to further the philanthropic aims of the Hoare family. The partners of the bank donate up to 10% of annual profits to the trust, which makes grants to a wide range of charitable causes. In the 40 years since the Golden Bottle Trust was created, it has made grants totalling more than £40 million to more than 10,000 charities.
