COVID-19 Guidelines for visiting the bank

Since the start of the pandemic we have put the safety of our customers and staff first, and this continues to be our priority.

The bank has carried out thorough assessments to ensure risks associated with COVID-19 are appropriately managed and mitigated. We will continue to review our procedures regularly and follow government guidance.

Before visiting:
Please do not visit our branches if:

  • in the last ten days you have experienced COVID-19 symptoms including a new continuous cough, high temperature, or loss or alteration of taste or smell;
  • you have not had your booster jab and have in the last ten days had close contact with, care for, or live in the same household as someone diagnosed with COVID-19;
  • you have recently returned to the UK from a country not currently exempt from the government’s 10-day isolation regulation, and have not yet completed the isolation period and/or returned a negative PCR test.

Please note:
Our porters will be happy to provide a disposable mask, should you wish to wear one.

If you would feel more comfortable meeting in a room with an open window, please let us know and we will be glad to arrange this.

What you can expect when visiting:
A QR code is displayed in both branches, should you wish to check in on the NHS COVID-19 app. These are located at the entrance to 37 Fleet Street and next to the cashier’s till at 32 Lowndes Street.

Hand sanitiser has been placed at the entrances to both branches and in banking halls, meeting rooms and dining rooms.

If you would like bank staff to wear masks during a meeting, please let us know (the catering team will wear masks when serving food or drink). We would also ask you to take into consideration that some staff may feel more comfortable wearing masks during the meeting.

Bank lifts are in use and sanitised throughout the day. Please feel free to use the stairs if you prefer.

Meeting rooms and dining rooms are cleaned and sanitised before and after every meeting and touchpoints such as handrails, door handles and push plates are sanitised regularly throughout the day.

If you feel unwell during your visit, please let us know, so that we can help. Lateral flow tests are available, should you wish to use one.
