Andy joined C. Hoare & Co. in 2007 and has over 38 years’ experience working in treasuries at a number of London banks, including Swedbank and Den Danske Bank.
In the course of his career, Andy has experienced a number of market crises and events while trading most treasury products, including cash, bonds, interest-rate derivatives, and foreign exchange. He sits on many of the bank’s main committees and chairs the Product Governance Committee and Deposit and Lending Forum; he also sits on the bank’s Asset & Liability Committee.
Andy also has executive responsibility for the People Team, Catering Team, Internal Audit, and the Family Projects office.
Outside the bank, Andy’s interests include politics, and he has been an Epping Forest District Councillor. Andy has a Danish wife and spends time at his cottage in Denmark trying to improve his terrible Danish. He also enjoys skiing and is a West Ham United season-ticket holder.
