Coronavirus Update

We are pleased to say that, in line with government guidance on lifting COVID-19 restrictions, we are returning to normal opening hours (9am-4pm, Monday-Friday) at our Fleet Street and Lowndes Street branches from Monday, 19 July.

The safety of our customers and staff remains our priority, so we will continue with some special arrangements until further notice. Safety screens will remain in place at both branches and the counter area will be freshly sanitised for each customer. Our porters will be on hand to help and can supply a face mask if you wish to use one.

For the time being, our safekeeping service is available by appointment. Please let your relationship manager or the Cashiers team know when it will be convenient for you to deposit, view or collect items and they will be happy to make the necessary arrangements.

We are delighted that we are once more able to welcome customers at 37 Fleet Street for meetings with relationship managers. These will continue to be arranged in advance, although there will always be someone from the relevant team to help you, should you wish to drop into the bank without an appointment. For now, however, we are unable to arrange meetings with relationship managers at Lowndes Street and mail for bank staff working there should be addressed to 37 Fleet Street, London EC4P 4DQ.

Our telephones are manned at all times; night or day, there will be someone to take your call. Some staff, however, will be working remotely so please continue, where possible, to contact your relationship manager by email to ensure the swiftest response. Additionally, online banking and our mobile app offer a convenient way to conduct much of your day-to-day banking. If you would like help setting these up, do please let your relationship manager know.

While we are pleased to return, cautiously, to a more normal way of working, we know these last eighteen months have been exceptionally difficult for many and our warmest thoughts are with those who have suffered personal or business losses in the course of the pandemic. If the bank can support you in any way, please let us know: we sincerely want to help.
