Landed Estates

main content

We believe that private owners make the best custodians of Britain's natural and built heritage, and our long history as a family-run business helps us understand the issues involved. Some of our Managing Partners are themselves owners of agricultural estates.

The bank currently looks after the owners of more than 120 estates across the UK, and our Landed Estates team concentrates on helping them establish and achieve their objectives.

We seek to develop long-term relationships and have a wealth of experience in dealing with the challenges, complexities and opportunities facing estate owning families. This expertise enables us to provide valuable support in a wide range of issues, such as diversification projects, succession planning and financial efficiencies.

We appreciate that one landowner is very likely to have quite different circumstances than another. As such, we work with customers on a bespoke basis to devise innovative and pragmatic solutions to the intricacies associated with owning estates in the 21st century.

In addition, we have longstanding connections with many of the other key professionals in the sector. We work closely with owners and their team of advisers to ensure a cohesive approach in delivering practical, relevant and focused advice on the structures and processes involved in owning and running an ever-evolving multi-faceted business.
