Golden Bottle Trust

main content

The Golden Bottle Trust (GBT) was established by the Partners of the bank in 1985.  The Partners are also the directors of the corporate trustee, Messrs Hoare Trustees.

Over the last 20 years, the Partners have built up the Trust to its present value of £8.34 million by way of charitable donations from the bank, although very occasionally the Trust accepts donations from third parties.

The Trust encourages staff to sign up to the bank's 'Give As You Earn' scheme with the Charities Aid Foundation, by double matching whatever each member of staff decides to give.  Over 30% of the staff participate in this scheme.
